股市主要指数在周二涨幅不大，但已足够使标普500指数、纳斯达克综合指数和罗素2000指数创收盘历史新高。罗素2000指数新高尤其勉强，因为该指数收盘仅上涨了0.02点。

美国第二季度GDP的二次估算值为4.2%（Briefing.com预估为4.0%），前值为4.1%。第二季度的CDP平减指数也从前值的3.0%向上修正为3.2%（Briefing.com预估为3.0%）。

从数据报告中可得出的重要结论是，个人支出增速下降（从4.0%降至3.8%），与更高的非住宅投资增长、政府部门支出和进口降低所抵消，这使得GDP的估值有所降低。

不包括库存变化的国内商品的实际最终销售额增长5.3%，前值为增长5.1%。

总体来说，第二季度仍是美国经济增长的一个强劲季度。
